Flora/Fauna

I went for a photo shoot last weekend to the Idaho Falls Tautphaus Park Zoo and to my mother's house. I was armed with a Canon L 16-35mm wide angle lens. WOW! What a lens! If you haven't used this lens before I definitely recommend it. I rented it from Tech Time Rentals in Idaho Falls. It was $45 a day but compared to the $1500 price tag, I thought it was a pretty good deal. The lens has a very minimal zoom so getting close ups on the animals was quite hard. But I tried to get as close as I could on them to get a good shot. For the flower shots I got up real close to get some good bokeh.

  1. Woah, cool pictures of the animals! What s that third one from the bottom? A bobcat? It's cool looking. I really like your flora pictures! The Apricot Blossoms are really pretty, and I REALLY like the picture, even though it's not really focused on anything. I also really like your "Red" picture. The focus and the Bocca (is that how you spell it?) is really neat!

  2. You got a lot of pictures of "Flora & Fauna!" I really like them. I like how your flowers are nice and clear and you that you've got some great boca in the background on some of those. I like the flower one where the sun is setting, I guess, behind it gave it a really nice effect to the photo. Did you know that you can rent cameras in the basement of the spori for free?
