Portraits

I had fun taking pictures of family for this assignment. I used two different lenses on these photos. I tried out a Canon 16mm wide angle lens. It was amazing--although I don't think I quite figured out its capabilities. I also used a fixed 50mm. I did very basic edits on these shots: levels, sats, vignette, and a photo filter. I will show more edits on the next post.

Big Hug; 9May; 12pm; IF; f1.8; 1/60; Canon T1i; 50mm
Drummin'; 7May; 5pm; Shelley; f3.2; 1/500; Canon T1i; 16mm
Barrow; 23May; 6pm; Shelley; f1.8; 1/50; Canon T1i; 50mm
Essam; 23May; 5pm; Shelley; f2.5; 1/400; Canon T1i; 50mm

  1. The emotion you captured on the first photo is great. It is a photo that one could see as a story type photo and I love it! Again, the little boy steals my heart.

  4. I also agree with laura and jace, great job at capturing that moment. But I do have to say I love the guy on the drums. You can just tell that he is totally rocking out.
